Diadora launches its Mythos sneaker, a creation coming right from its archive, now revamped and improved in all its aspects. Initially created in the late 2000s as a running product by gold marathon medalist Gelindo Bordin, the Mythos is now brought back to life under a new light – that of daily life.
Made for outrunning any daily quest
When innovation overcomes the run field and reaches the city streets. Already groundbreaking when born in 2008 thanks to its distinctive propulsion heel, the new Mythos sneaker perpetuates this technology and takes it to another level: that of everyday life.
Positioned between the sole and the midsole, the Axeler Propulsion Heel has been analyzed and improved by Centro Ricerche Diadora in order to maximize its shock absorption benefits. Realized in pebax, a material that features long-lasting elastic memory, this component prevents the midsole torsion while enhancing elasticity

The early 2000s unwrapped: Mythos reinterprets the retro-tech and maximalist look of those years
Realized in collaboration with Studio Temp, the dedicated creative project follows the sneaker's look and inspiration and extends this aesthetics, bringing it back from the 2000s to this very day.
Through simple yet impactful visuals and graphics, the animated video shows all the components of the sneaker and the steps taken by Centro Ricerche Diadora to get to the final result.

Retro-tech reloaded
Loyal to the sneakers’ shape of the past yet filtered by the present, Mythos (hyperlink to product page) is characterized by a bold and futuristic look yet enlightened by the bright hue of the upper.
Coming in four color variations, white is always the main chromatic protagonist, featuring black or green details in the more neutral models or touches of warm hues such as yellow and red in the more eclectic ones. A new outtake of an archive piece.
