About Nucleo 2
A thorough research process has allowed us to completely reinvent Nucleo. Presenting Nucleo 2: the daily trainer, designed for high mileage, now offers improved fit.
We set out to create Nucleo 2 as the ultimate tool for the high-mileage runner. But, beyond the actual miles logged, it's about respecting the distance, putting in the work because the work is the point, adding those extra miles because they make a difference.
The upper tongue
The upper tongue has been redesigned. It is now secured laterally with elastic mesh, integrated into the lining construction, to prevent twisting, ensuring a snug fit without compromising flexibility.
A new design for superior cushioning
Nucleo 2 is equipped with an Anima midsole, engineered in our Centro Ricerche Diadora, which offers 30% more midsole responsiveness and reduces weight by 20%, for a total rebound of 65%.
Improving control
The internal length of the heel outsole rubber on the medial side was increased from 6 cm to 11 cm, further a control over rotation and anchoring the foot to the shoe.
A wider Nucleo
Overall, the shoe's elements are wider: the heel by 9mm, the midfoot by 13mm, and the forefoot by 5mm.
